中國EVA發泡材料的生產和應用起步較晚，但由于產品的加工性能優良且應用廣泛，近幾年需求增長十分迅速，目前市場處于成長期。盡管在金融危機的沖擊下，下游出口需求減弱，市場從2006年到2010年年復合增長率依然超過9%，2010年市場規模超過180億元。市場高速增長吸引了眾多廠家進入該行業。2010年中國市場上有3000家以上的企業具有生產EVA發泡材料的能力。大部分EVA發泡材料生產商為小型企業，年銷售額小于1000萬元。大型生產商數量較少，其年銷售額在3000萬元以上，高的達上億元。市場前5的企業EVA發泡材料銷售總額接近20億元，只占市場份額的10%，集中度不高。受益于中國的穩定發展，下游產業升級帶來的要求和利潤的提升，以及更廣闊的應用領域將被開發等有利因素，預計中國EVA發泡材料市場將維持高速增長。從2010年開始，年復合增長率將超過10%，到2015年市場規模將達到300億元。
